The Cloud Nine Weather Services team was founded by meteorologists Julie Phillips and Bryan Bennett and specializes in forensic meteorology and weather consulting. Our team has over 30 years of experience dealing with tropical weather, severe storms, and winter weather events.

BRYAN
BENNETT
Bryan Bennett is an accomplished meteorologist with 20 years of meteorology and broadcast television experience. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Earth & Atmospheric Science from Georgia Tech in 2003. He then went on to get a Master's in Meteorology from Mississippi State University.
Topping Bryan's list of accomplishments is working as the Chief Meteorologist at CBS New York, the #1 television market in the country. Bryan worked through numerous Nor'Easters and Hurricane Sandy. Bryan and the CBS weather team received Emmy awards for their hurricane coverage and were invited to the US Stock Exchange to ring in the closing bell the day after Hurricane Sandy.
Prior to working at CBS Bryan worked for Weather Services International, the largest private weather company in the world. One of his main jobs was to travel to TV stations all over North America to train broadcast meteorologists.
Bryan has lived in the Tampa Bay area since 2013 working as an on-air meteorologist at WFLA-TV in Tampa, FL , an Earth Science professor at St. Petersburg College and a meteorology expert for high profile litigation. He has his FAA commercial drone license and is an active storm chaser, photographer, kayaker and biker. Bryan and his wife have a young son Isaac and a house full of animals.
JULIE
PHILLIPS
Julie Phillips is an Emmy Award winning meteorologist with the coveted Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal Of Approval. She is also part owner of Cloud Nine Weather Services with abundant knowledge of severe storms & tropical weather.
Julie has a degree in Meteorology and Broadcast Journalism from the University of Miami. She has over a decade of experience working at WFLA in Tampa, Florida & KTXS in Abilene, Texas.
She became fascinated with weather at a young age growing up in the Chicagoland area. She loved severe weather days, which meant seeking shelter in the basement and monitoring tornado warnings.
Julie is an active volunteer with the Florida English Bulldog Rescue serving as the Assistant Director. She now lives in the Tampa Bay area enjoying the best that Florida has to offer, which means a lot of time spent on the water.
